OVERVIEW
Jake is a Patent Attorney at ZPS in the metro Milwaukee area. He specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Jake enjoys broadening the scope of his technical experience with each innovative technology developed by his clients and applying the appropriate strategies to help his clients protect their inventions in numerous countries around the globe.
Jake’s background in electrical engineering allows him to draft and prosecute both utility and design patent applications for technologies in various fields of the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software arts. Jake’s practice also includes analyzing patent portfolios, evaluating patent scope, advising foreign counsel on international patent filings, and performing searches and providing written opinions regarding patentability, non-infringement, and invalidity.
When Jake is not at work, he loves spending time with his family, watching movies and TV, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

EDUCATION
Jake acquired his law degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) in 2013. He received his electrical engineering degree in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he competed on the UW Track and Field team.
