The Special Olympics of Wisconsin and Portal, Inc.

Since 2007 the ZPS Group has proudly sponsored two local organizations that serve the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities within our local community – the Special Olympics and Portal, Inc.

Portal, Inc. serves adult citizens with developmental disabilities in Ozaukee County. Today, Portal serves more than 200 people with disabilities, providing the supports and experiences to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives.  The Special Olympics of Wisconsin provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Milwaukee Rescue Mission

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission serves men, women and children who are homeless, hungry or poor in the Milwaukee metro community by providing educational and vocational counseling, addiction recovery programs, biblical instruction, and life-skills training.  The ZPS Group is proud to support the Mission.

Camp Invention – “Where Imaginations Run Wild”

Camp Invention is a non-profit nationally acclaimed, creative, summer enrichment program for kids in grades 1 through 6. Camp Invention’s top priority is to provide quality growth in the fields of science, math, history and art. The Camp Invention program was created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation with the support from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  ZPS Group proudly sponsored Camp Invention from 2005 to 2011.

Leukemia-Lymphoma SS150 Fundraiser

ZPS Group proudly sponsored the Leukemia-Lymphoma SS150 Fundraiser, a two-day cycling event hosted annually by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise money for the cause. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is committed to finding cures for leukemia and related diseases and improving the lives of those affected by these diseases. They invest $61 million annually in support of more than 200 researchers, provide financial assistance to patients, sponsor scientific conferences around the country, produce educational materials and videos, and run over 50 support groups nationwide.  As one part of sponsorship, ZPS fielded “Team ZPS” from 2008 to 2013.

Leukemia-Lymphoma Oyster Roast Fundraiser

Although training for the Milwaukee Oyster Roast is not quite as demanding as the training for the SS150, here at ZPS we were proud to join efforts with other local businesses to raise funds for a great cause. The Ninth Annual Milwaukee Oyster Roast helped to raise over $85,000 toward cures for blood cancers. Not only is this great event fun for all, it also provides a chance to hear how these funds help individuals in need. This fundraiser was a filling way to support the LLS even further and learning how to shuck an oyster with fellow team members is a memory not easy to forget!
